That’s the Operations Manager’s 2000 F150 that stays parked at the shop and is used for UPS runs. I’ve asked about buying it before, but so has nearly everyone else who drives it. Who would have thought that a 75-year-old man with poor depth perception would have trouble backing down a relatively narrow ramp?
Everyone is OK, and the shop next door has a forklift operator who owed our sunroof manager a favor, so we were able to get the truck down without calling a tow truck.

He wasn’t driving.
To be fair, I’ve curbed a few vehicles backing them down the ramp but I’ve been fortunate enough to catch them before they went over.
I also once misjudged pulling out and scraped up a stepside Tundra to the tune of $1800 in bodywork.

The only thing worse than being the only person in your group that owns a pickup truck is being the only business on the block that owns a forklift (and a loading dock). Especially when you have fly-by-night businesses that rent across the street and promise you beer, but beer never shows up. WHERE’S THE DAMN BEER!
